Guided hikes
Guided hikes & trail runs
Explore the Cape’s beautiful mountains with an experienced guide. With a myriad of different trails to suit all energy and fitness levels, be it an early morning jaunt up Skeleton Gorge or a Full Moon Adventure on Devil’s Peak. I have been hiking and running the Cape Mountains for the past 12 years and am always happy to show them off.

- Half Day hikes/runs (about 4 hours)
- Full Day hikes/runs (about 7 hours)
- Shorter hikes/runs (2-3 hours)
What routes?
In the Cape Peninsula you are spoilt for choice. There are so many different ways up and down that they are too many to mention.
But there is something to suit all levels of experience and fitness.
** Table Mountain, Skeleton Gorge, Smuts’ Track, Tranquillity Cracks, Valley of the Red Gods, India Venster, Disa Gorge, Platteklip Gorge, Nursery Ravine, Devil’s Peak, Noordhoek Peak, Elephant’s Eye, Skyline Panorama, Chapman’s Peak, Lion’s Head, Cape Point
What to bring:
- Daypack
- Water – min 2l for a half day hike
- Comfortable hiking boots or walking shoes
- Sunscreen
- Warm gear; including wind and water-proof outer layers
- Sunhat/cap & sunglasses
- Camera, Cellphone

Hi, I am interested in 2 hour hiking trails but it must have rock pools for swimming and or waterfalls. I know it could be limited due to hot weather.
Not to far out Cape Town.
Can you let me know where so I can look them up first on google earth?
Thank you
Hi Elizabeth
Steenbras Gorge near Gordons Bay is a good option – if it is open to the public at the moment.
hello, when is ur next hike…am a beginner and would love to experience great trails & hikes!
Hi Ronle
I dont have any fixed dates. check out the links page for a list of hiking clubs.
Hi I responded to your email request.
Hi there my husband and I will be in Cape Town 4/5/6 April and would love to do a hike/run up Table Mountain. We are reasonably experienced trail runners with a good fitness level – I like the look of going up the Skeleton Gorge route and back down in the Cable Way ( I hope I’ve got that right?). Early morning on the 5th or 6th April would be great for us, we will have a rental car so can meet wherever is easiest. Can you please let me know availability and the rate? Thanks, Charlie
